2013 promises to bring a year full of enjoyable and entertaining events and fundraisers for Little Shelter. Our calendar is crammed with fun things to do! Mark your calendars early and stay tuned as more exciting events are added along the way!
Saturdays & Sundays at the Broadway Mall
Visit our great kiosk! There you will be able to spend time smooching with some of our adorable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens that are looking for homes, as well as speak to staff and volunteers about the wonderful work we do, learn about volunteer opportunities, and find out how you can support us.
Our Little Shelter mascot will be making special appearances throughout the day to entertain the kids, and we will also have lots of informative literature and goodies to giveaway.
Little Shelter will be at the mall every weekend, so be sure to stop by and see us during your shopping expedition. Our hours are:Saturdays & Sundays: 12pm – 4pm

TFCU has made their very cute TFCU Owl available for just $5.00, and your purchase will be used to help support Little Shelter |
PEACE LOVE & PAWPRINTS, VALENTINE PHOTO EVENT THIS EVENT IS OVER Community Pet Shop 347 New York Ave, Huntington NY Saturday, February 9th 11:00am - 5:00pm The Community Pet Shop will be hosting Peace Love & Pawprints, a Valentine Photo Event to benefit Little Shelter Animal Rescue. Let Len Marks of Len Marks Photography create a magical image of your Furry Valentine. For your donation of $10 or more you will receive a free 4 x 6 print of your best friend. Special pricing packages for all donors. Sessions are by appointment only, so schedule yours before they're all gone. Little Shelter will be at the Long Island Pet Expo Saturday and Sunday at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood. Stop by this weekend-long event to meet some of our wonderful volunteers, and to see some of our animals looking for loving homes. |
TULA KITCHEN 41 East Main Street Bayshore, NY Sunday, April 7th 1pm -4pm If you’re looking for an afternoon of fun and entertainment, and animals have a special place in your heart, then please join Little Shelter for our fundraiser at Tula Kitchen on Sunday, April 7th , between 1pm and 4pm. Tula Kitchen is a charming ‘Bohemian’ style restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere, located on Long Island’s south shore. This fantastic event, made possible thanks to the generosity of owner Jackie Sharlup, will include hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, door prizes, a Chinese auction, cash bar, and so much more! FIFTH ANNUAL DOG DAY AFTERNOON AGILITY EXPO & PET FAIR St Joseph's College, 155 West Roe Boulevard Patchogue, NY Saturday June 15th, 10am-4pm Raindate: Sunday, June 16th Little Shelter will be at the Dog Day Agility Expo and Pet Fair hosted by the Suffolk County Bar Association's Animal Law Committee. This is a family fun event where you and your dog will have a great time. There will be Food, Raffles, Face Painting & much more. Bring your dog for a run through the agility course. Your dog must be leashed and well behaved to attend. You'll also be able to spend time with some of Little Shelter's adorable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens that are looking for homes, as well as speak to staff and volunteers about the wonderful work we do and learn about volunteer opportunities.
