It’s been several years since you answered the call—the call to help Ingrid live! We asked you to send just one ‘little blue pill’ and send them you did! Donations of Viagra came from far and wide, and each pill represented another day of life for the little lady that came to us ‘knocking on death’s door’. After spending her life tied to a fence, Ingrid arrived at Little Shelter with advanced heartworm, a failing heart and 14lbs of fluid in her abdomen. After barely surviving treatment, veterinarians suggested Viagra—a well-known drug that was originally developed as a heart medication. They believed that Viagra would be beneficial in promoting the blood flow to Ingrid’s damaged heart, and they were right! After beginning a regimen of one Viagra pill a day, Ingrid made a miraculous recovery and doesn’t hesitate to show her gratitude by showering those around her with big, wet kisses! In the two years that we’ve come to know Ingrid, we’ve marveled at the progress she has made, and never once have we regretted the extraordinary measures that were taken to save her life. Ingrid has shown us how to fight, forgive, love and live life to the fullest—she is an inspiration! Unfortunately our supplies of Viagra are running dangerously low! That means that without donations, we may run out of the medication that has kept Ingrid alive and happy, and that’s a thought that is simply too much to bear!
