EXCITING NEW POSITIONS AVAILABLE! Are you looking for a job that will allow you to make a difference? If you love animals, then Little Shelter could have the perfect job for you. We offer a great working environment where people come together as one to help abandoned dogs and cats. PART-TIME VET TECH ASSISTANT - Candidates will be available to work 3 days per week, with Monday and one weekend day being mandatory. Duties include working side-by-side with vet and vet techs, diagnostic testing, medicating, maintaining dietary needs, preparing animals for adoption, cleaning and feeding. Must be comfortable handling both dogs and cats. FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ADOPTION COUNSELOR – The ideal person for this position will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and some dog knowledge. Duties include screening potential adopters, greeting the public, answering phones, paperwork, data entry and various other tasks which arise during the day. The days and hours for this position are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11am – 7pm and Saturday 11am – 6pm. Retiree’s welcome!!! OTHER OPENINGS - We currently have full-time and part-time positions available in our dog and cat programs. Potential candidates must be dedicated and reliable, flexible and able to work at least one weekend day. The starting salary for all positions is $8 per hour with benefits available after 6 months of continuous full-time employment.
