Fear aggression toward strangers,
Great with dogs,
Living in foster home
Trouble with stairs

Molly, like most of the other dogs at the animal sanctuary, is extremely intelligent and obedient. But she is highly fear aggressive towards strangers, especially adult men. That has been the main barrier to finding her a permanent home.

Molly knows all of her basic obedience commands and loves to play fetch with an old, cheap tennis ball. She is easy to walk and loves to engage in most leisurely activities.

Molly is good with most dogs, but she does have a tendency to play a little "rough." She will ease up though when you tell her to be more gentle.

It is important for Molly's owner to have a room to put her away in when company comes. Molly should not be introduced to new people unless the people visiting are going to be over regularly. But if the people that you want to introduce her to are regular dog-friendly visitors, they should be able to get along with her fine.

Molly just needs an owner with common sense. If she could find that owner, she would make him or her very proud.

Molly currently lives in a foster home at the sanctuary with her foster parent and seven other dogs. She is housebroken and has no separation anxiety problems.

UPDATE 7/10/06: Oh, sweet Molly. Her age is catching up to her. Her legs are getting weaker, she has kidney disease and has lost a bit of weight but still loves to lay around outside in the shade and enjoy the fresh air. She can't really go for walks anymore but enjoys everyone's company. She came to us in 1996 and was two years old at the time. She still loves her biscuits and a full body rub!

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is medically possible. The miniminal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
