COURTESY POSTING: This dog is not at Little Shelter. If interested in adopting her, please contact Suzanne at 917 685-8422. JAYDA - 1 YR SUPER SWEET FEMALE PIT MIX 39 LBS. RESCUED FROM EUTHANASIA AT THE CITY SHELTER! This gorgeous girl was in her kennel making small whimpering noises - she wanted to come out, but was clearly too nervous to give it a try. Her tail would wag, but it would stay between her legs. She walked a couple of steps towards me and then backed up. She wanted to so badly, but was so nervous. I talked to her for a while and then told her I would be back for her soon. When I came back, she was clearly still nervous, but let me leash her and off we went. As soon as we were in the backyard her personality emerged. She is fun loving, super playful and affectionate, she gives hugs and kisses in multiples, sits on command, takes treats so gently and loves to run and play. She has a gorgeous black coat with white feet and an amazing white mask that looks like it is painted on. When it was time for her photo shoot later in the day she joyfully came out of her kennel and was thrilled to be outside again. Jayda appears housetrained and at 1 year old and 39 pounds is the perfect size for a New York apartment. Meet Jayda, give her some hugs and kisses and she will follow you anywhere!!
