Ingrid The Love Bug!

Ingrid has had a rough life, but you wouldn't know it with her cheery disposition. This loveable Pit Bull arrived at Little Shelter battered, bruised and critically ill, after having been used as a "bait" dog to instigate dog fights, and bred more times than we can count - she was down and out! In addition, Ingrid was diagnosed with heartworm and a severe heart condition that needed regulating immediately to ensure her survival. The staff at Little Shelter knew they would do whatever it took to get Ingrid healthy, even if it meant administering a daily Viagra pill! Yes, our girl takes Viagra! Viagra promotes the blood flow to Ingrid's heart and along with a few other medications, keeps her alive. With all Ingrid has been through it would be understandable if she had a dislike of people, but quite the opposite has occurred ! Ingrid LOVES everyone she meets - she is the resident love-bug! Due to all she endured prior to coming to Little Shelter, Ingrid chooses not to interact with other animals, and is happiest getting belly rubs and giving kisses to her human companions. This special girl deserves a special friend, could it be you?

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
