COURTESY POSTING: This dog is not at Little Shelter. If you would like to meet Layla please contact Suzanne at 917-685-8422 suzanne_kaplan@mcrsearch.com. Poor sweet Layla was surrendered by her owner because they are moving and didn't want to take her with them??. Considering the shape she is in that is probably a good thing . Layla is about 4 years old. Her fur is missing from almost the entire top of her head?. Looks like she was burned in the past and the hair never grew back. She is also very emaciated?, only 30 pounds. She was skin and bones. Layla is great with all people and kids too!!! She is soooooooooooo sweet, she just wants to give hugs and she nuzzles into you for affection. As Layla sat in a cage, waiting to be destroyed by the ACC, Animal Aid came in and saved her. She is such an amazing dog and we are so hoping to find her the perfect home, with a family that would help her forget her horrible past. Please keep Layla in your thoughts. She is so close to finding the happiness that she deserves and has waited a lifetime for. She has gained 9 pounds and is getting stronger every day. It would be a crime for her story to end now.

Layla is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
