A Pint Sized Happy Little Girl!

Tiny, broken and abandoned that was the sorry state Pinky was in when she was found tied to a pole in the Bronx. As the Animal Control Officers removed her from her restraints and placed her into their van, it was obvious that it was sometime, if ever, that Pinky had received a decent meal every rib and vertebrae in her emaciated little body poked through her skin she was starving. Hunger pains were not the only trauma that Pinky endured. When she was transferred to Little Shelter from the city shelter, we found her body to be covered in bite wounds, both fresh and old. Punctures on her front leg, and a fractured rear toe caused her to limp in pain, but perhaps the most traumatic injury that Pinky sustained was on her beautiful little face while surviving one of her many attacks, Pinky's lip was torn down to the gum line and without medical attention had been left to heal as a deformed flap. You would think that with everything Pinky has been through, she would be guarded and afraid, but quite the opposite is true. This pint-sized 2-year-old gal is happy-go-lucky and just adores people. In fact, she thinks she is a lap dog and the sight of a human will cause an onslaught of butt wiggling and tail wagging. Pinky recently underwent surgery to repair her torn lip and is now ready for a home where she will never be abused again. She prefers to be in a home without other pets and is best suited to a family with kids aged 12 and older. Come on in and meet this sweet little lady!

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
