Sam was was
on her way to the euthanasia room when spotted by our rescue person at a
city shelter. When asking about the little girl we were told that she had
several large tumors and every other rescue group had declined her. They
felt that they had no choice but to euthanize her. Well they hadn't asked
Little Shelter and there was no way we were going to let this little girl
meet such an unfortunate end. Sam was brought back to Little Shelter where
she was diagnosed with late stage lymphoma. She will need 6 -12 months of
chemotherapy and undergo regular testing to monitor her progress, including
blood work and x-rays. Unfortunately after beginning chemo, Sam was
stricken with pneumonia which delayed her treatments and set her back. It
pains us to see this charismatic little girl in so much discomfort. At just
6 years old, most Chihuahua’s have many years ahead of them, but
unfortunately we don’t know what lies ahead for Sam. We will go to the ends
of the earth to help this little girl survive and live a quality life, but
we need your help! Sam almost met a premature end in a cold, sterile, city
shelter. Please help make her future brighter - click below to make a
generous donation and ensure that Sam and others like her, continue to
receive life-saving treatment.

Thank You!
We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is
medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the
medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
