Candy is a special girl that needs a special someone. Candy was originally saved from the NYC Animal Control facility in Manhattan where she was surrendered as a stray. Soon after coming to us her fears started getting the best of her and she started not trusting people.

Unfortunately Candy's first reaction was to go after the person she didn't trust. We tried working with her but eventually realized we needed help. We contacted Elite Dog Training in Islip Terrace and Jeff immediately came down to evaluate her. He felt with some strict handling and behavior work, he could help Candy.

Candy has now been with Jeff at his facility for almost month and she is doing very well. She has learned all her commands and listens well. She is also crate trained. She will need a home with an experience dog owner, preferably a male household that will continue to work on her behavior modification and management. She improves daily but still needs continued reinforcement. She takes awhile to get to know but once she trusts you, she is your best friend. She is good with other dogs for the most part but has never been around cats that we know of.

If you are interested in being Candy's special someone,  please give us a call.

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is medically possible. The miniminal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
