Use your great organizational skills to make a positive impact on our organization. The currently available positions start at $8 per hour:

PART-TIME VETERINARY ASSISTANT – License or Certification not required. The ideal candidate will be able to draw blood for blood-work and heartworm tests, administer vaccines. Other responsibilities include proper documentation of all medical procedures, blood-work, vaccines, and an ability to assist in minor surgeries. Flexible schedule with one weekend day required.

PART-TIME CATTERY CARETAKER – If you love cats then Little Shelter’s open plan cattery is the perfect working environment for you. What better way than to spend your day working amongst more than 300 purring felines. An average day will include cleaning, feeding, snuggling, and showing cats. The ideal candidate for this position will have a flexible work schedule with one weekend day required. Part-time positions available.

PART-TIME DOG CARETAKER – If you enjoy spending time with ‘man’s best friend’ then this could be the job for you! Your typical day taking care of our canine population will include cleaning, feeding, walking, medicating and more. The ideal candidate for this position will have a flexible work schedule with one weekend day required. Part-time positions available.

Volunteers Are Always Needed

We are always looking for volunteers. Many of our best employees started off as volunteers. They enjoyed the animals and people at Little Shelter so much that they decided to make a career out of animal rescue.
