Special Needs

Sydney is a very lucky girl that has been through hell and back but has survived, thanks to her strong will. She was rescued by one of our volunteers from St. Bernard Parish in New Orleans. The area was completely destroyed by the storm and flood. The houses flooded over the roof tops in this area and we have no idea how she survived. When the volunteer was doing rescue work down there, she happened upon her while trying to trap a dog. She was emaciated, dehydrated and very weak but managed a "cry" to let us know she was there. She was flown back to NY and has been in a foster home but is ready to find her forever home. She did test FIV positive and doesn't like other cats so needs a one cat household. We are trying to find out if she is good with dogs. She is sweet and gentle natured and loves to lay in your lap. If you are interested in meeting Sydney, please contact her "foster mom" at tootlelee@optonline.net

We spay and neuter all of our animals as soon as is medically possible. The minimal adoption donation paid upon adoption includes all the medical procedures that we have done on the animal being adopted,
including the spaying and neutering.
